All Distance Education Courses Must Have IDECC Approval
Current Appraiser Qualifications Board criteria require that courses not offered by a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting body of U.S. Office of Education must be approved by the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC) for course delivery.
Therefore, all distance education courses require evidence of IDECC approval for OREA accreditation. This includes courses for both basic and continuing education.
In addition, Petition for Equivalency Applications (REA 3005) for distance education courses cannot be approved without proof of IDECC approval.
For more information on IDECC approval, please contact IDECC directly.
